WHEREAS,

GANADO FIRE DISTRICT is seeking $3,004,980.00 from the CARE Act Funds to assistanoe Navajo Nation combat COVID-19 Coronavirus; CANADO FIRE DISTRICT provided fire, rcscue, mcdical, and cmcrgcncy dispatching services to five chapters, which include Ganado, Steamboat, Klagetoh, Kinlichcc, Comfields and the communitics of Woodsprings, Cross Canyon, Bashbitoh, Wide Ruins, Greasewood, Nazlini and Toyei; but not limited to the 1,000 square miles covercd through Mutual Aid agreements and our firm mission lo achievc life safcty for all residence. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT provided emergcncy and essential response to thc Navajo people, our customcrs and visiting guest since 1982. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT is sccking assistance to provide hazard pay and purchasing six fire apparatus and four rescue/medical transport units (a.k.a. arnbulance) to cornbat the Pandemic COVID-19 Coronavirus. 5. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT is seeking thc resolution ofsupport from the \tean$or"t Chapter for the purpose ofobtaining adcquatc and isliable apparatus, supporting Ganado Firc District esscntial emcrgency staffrvith hazard pay and continuing to providc emcrgcncy services to the Navajo Nation citizcns.
