RESOLUTION OF GANADO FIRE DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS REQUESTING AN EXTENTION ON RESOLUTION CO-53-21

Ganado Fire District Respectfully Supports Navajo Nation Council Legislation #0275 22; An Action Related To An Emergency And The Navajo Nation Council; Amending Navajo Nation Council Resolution No. CO-53-21; Extending The Deadline For The Sihasin Fund Ganado Fire District Emergency Vehicle Expenditure Plan.

WHEREAS,

1. Ganado Fire District respectfully supports the extension deadline for the purchase of emergency equipment and vehicles for the Ganado Fire District to March 31, 2024. 2. Ganado Fire District understands it’s a political subdivision of the State of Arizona that provides emergency services to the Navajo Nation communities of Ganado, Steamboat, Kindahlichii, Klagetoh, Cornfields, Woodsprings, Cross Canyon, Bashbito, and Toyei and others. 3. Ganado Fire District respectfully supports the “ Ganado Fire District Plan ” which was intended to supplement the Ganado Fire District ’ s purchase of emergency equipment, including emergency vehicles, necessary to meet the fire and other emergency needs of the Ganado Chapter and surrounding Navajo Nation communities. 4. Ganado Fire District is aware of the supply chain and other issues generated by COVID pandemic, which effected the Navajo Nation Division of Community Development not to complete the purchase of the equipment set forth in the Ganado Fire District Plan by the deadline set forth in CO-53-21. 5. Ganado Fire District respectfully supports the Navajo Nation Division of Community Development ’ s request that CO-53-21 ’ s deadline be extended to March 31, 2024, to complete the purchase and allow the vendor to properly tailer the emergency vehicles to meet the Ganado Fire District ’ s specifications.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESLOVED THAT,

1. Ganado Fire District respectfully supports the amends of CO-53-21, section four (f), as follow: F. The funds allocated for the Ganado Fire District Emergency Vehicle
