Resolution No. GFD 2024-002

It was recommended by the administration that the fire board supports GFD Resolution 2024 002 to requests the Navajo Nation Law and Order Committee and Navajo Nation Budget and Finance Committee to include Ganado Fire District and all Fire Departments, that render fire suppression services to the Navajo people, to be include in the Fund Management Plan for The Fire and Rescue Services Funds.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommend approving GFD Resolution 2024-002.

LEGAL REVIEW: N/A

FINANCIAL IMPACT: If the Navajo Nation Law and Order includes Ganado Fire District in the Fund Management Plan for The Fire and Rescue Services Funds, we will receive Navajo Nation FRS taxes to utilize for daily operation expenses.

SUGGESTED MOTION: I move to approve Resolution No. GFD 2024-002: Respectfully Requesting the Navajo Nation Law and Order Committee and The Navajo Nation Budget and Finance Committee to Include the All-Fire Department Who Serve the Navajo Nation Residence in The Fund Management Plan for The Fire and Rescue Services Funds.
