NOTICE OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS SPECIAL BUSINESS MEETING FOR DECEMBER 2020 HELD AT GANADO FIRE STATION 1 via. ZOOM ON DECEMBER 10, 2020
1. CALL TO ORDER: Regular Board Meeting of Ganado Fire District was called to order at 5:22 P.M. M.S.T. by Fire Board Chairman Steven Kee.
2. ROLL CALL called by Administrative Assistant Marcarlo Roanhorse. Mr. Roanhorse affirmed a quorum was present.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Steven Kee, Fire Board Chairman Ms. LaVerne Joe, Fire Board Member Mrs. Margaret Etcitty, Fire Board Member
MEMBERS ABSENT: Ms. Althea James, Fire Board Clerk Mr. Larry Noble, Fire Board Member
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE/MOMENT OF SILENCE: Pledge of Allegiance conducted by Chief Woodie.
4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Ms. LaVerne Joe motioned to approve the agenda, as read, and was second by Mrs. Margaret Etcitty. Voice Vote was carried for approval with 3 in favor 0 opposing and 0 Abstain. 5. NEW BUSINESS: A. Review discuss and possible action to approve GFD Resolution requesting the 24 th Navajo Nation Council, Navajo Nation Office of the Speaker, and Navajo Office of the President and Vice-President to appropriate approximately $2,607,480.00 for the purpose of combating the Pandemic COVID-19 Coronavirus. Ms. LaVerne Joe motions to approve the resolution, as presented, and was second by Mrs. Margaret Etcitty. Voice Vote was carried for approval with 4 in favor 0 opposing and 0 Abstain. Voice Vote was carried for approval with 4 in favor 0 opposing and 0 Abstain. Record shows that Ms. Althea James became present by ZOOM at 5:39 PM MST. Ms. Althea James wants the record to show that she was present through out the meeting, but was unable to unmute herself, and was present since 5:05 PM MST. Board Chair Kee acknowledged Ms. Althea James and her request to let the record show her presents at 5:05 PM MST.
B. Review discuss and possible action to approve increase of minimum wage to $12.15 per hour effective January 1, 2021 per the Fair Wages and Healthy Families Act.
