RELATING TO AN EMERGENCY AND THE NAVA.]O NATION COI,NCIL, ALLOCATING }2,644,380.00 FROM THE SiHASIN FI'ND TO THE DIVTSION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIRE TRUCKS AND AMBUI,ANCES FOR THE GANADO FIRE DISTRICT; ADOPTING THE SiHASIN GANADO FIRE DISTRICT EMERGENCY VEHICLE EXPENDITURE PI,AN PURSUA}flT TO ].2 N.N.C SS 2501 - 2508 BE TT ENACTED: A The Navajo Nation Council is the governing body of the Navajo Nation. 2 N.N.C. S 102(A) . Pursuant to 2 N.N.C. S 164 (A) (16), " [m] atters const.ituting an emergency sha11 be limited to the cessation of l-aw enforcement services, and disaster relief services, fire protection services or other direct services required as an entitfement under Navajo Nation or Federal 1aw, or which directly threaten t.he sovereignty of the Navajo Natj-on. Such an emergency matter must arise due to the pressing public need for such resolut.ion(s) and must be a matter requiring final action by the Council-." 2 N. N. C. S 164 (A) (15) .
