Honorable President Nez and Honorable Vice President Lizer,
I’m following up to determine a date and time to meet with the Navajo Nation Executive Branch Leadership to discuss its stance with Ganado Fire District’s legislation, Legislation No. 0125 ‐ 21: An Action Relating to an Emergency and the Navajo Nation Council; Allocating $2,644,380.00 from the Síhasin Fund to the Division of Community Development for the Purchase of Fire Trucks and Ambulances for the Ganado Fire District; Adopting the Síhasin Ganado Fire District Emergency Vehicle Expenditure Plan Pursuant to 12 N.N.C. §§ 2501 ‐ 2508. On Tuesday, October 19th, 2021, the 24th Navajo Nation Council passed legislation No. 0125 ‐ 21 with a 22 in favor and 0 opposed vote. Ganado Fire District fire board, the district Fire Chief, the district administration, and it staff have made it our ultimate goal to ensure we meet our mission to ensure “life safety” by “protecting life and property” for our customers; the Navajo people. We understand the legislation is in its ten day review period to determine if the Navajo Nation President will sign this legislation into law, line item veto or veto this legislation. Please allow us time to meet with your administration to discuss all aspects of this legislation. Ganado Fire District is willing to meet with both of you, in person, at a location and time that best fits your schedule. Your prompt response will be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or need to contact the fire district, please contact Fire Chief Dewayne Woodie at dewayne.woodie@ganadofire.org / 1 ‐ 866 ‐ 558 ‐ 8554 and Administrative Assistant Mr. Marcarlo Roanhorse at marcarlo.roanhorse@ganadofire.org/ (928)755 ‐ 3424 ext. 202 or (928) 225 ‐ 7689. Thank you. Marcarlo Roanhorse , Administrative Assistant
