CORONAVIRUS.

WHEREAS:

1. Jeddito is a certified unit oflocal govemment and political subdivision of the Navajo Nation having met a.ll of the requirements at 26 N.N.C., Section 03; and codified at 11 N.N.C., Part 1, Section l0; and 2. Pursuant to 26 N.N-c., (BXl) the Navajo Nation Council delegates to chaprer governmental authority with respect to local matters consistent with Navajo law, including custom and tladition; and 3. GANADO FIRE DISTzuCT is seeking $3,0004,980.00 from the CARE Act Funds to assistance Navajo Nation combat COVID-i9 Coronavirus; 4. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT provided fire, rescue, medical, and emergency dispatching services to five (5) chapters, which include Ganado, Steamboat, Klagetoh, Kinlichee, ComJields, ard the communities of Woodsprings, Cross Canyon, Beshbitoh.{eddito, Wideruins, Greasewood, Nazlini and Toyei; but not limited to the 1,000 square miles covered tkough Mutual Aid agreements and our firm mission to achieve life safety for all residence. 5. GANADO F]RE DISTRICT IS PROVIDED EMERGENCY A}iD ESSENTTAL RESPONSE TO TIIE Navajo people, our customers and visiting guests since 1982. 6. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT is seeking the resolution of support jlom the Jeddito Chapter for the purpose of obtaining adequate and reliable apparatus, supporting Ganado Fire District essential emergency staff with hazard pay and continutigng to provide emergency sewices to the Navajo Nation citizens.
