Resoectfullv Sunnortins Ganado Fire Distric Ganado. Arizona to seek $3.004.980.00 from the Navaio Nation CARE Act Funds from e 24th Navaio Nation Council. the Navaio Nation Offic€ of the Speaker and the Nava io Nation Oflice of the President and Yice President for the DurDose of combatins the Pandemic COVID-f 9 Coronavirus.
WHEREAS:
1. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT is seeking $3,004,980.00 from the CARE Act Funds to assistance Navajo Nation combat C0VID-19 Coronavirus; and 2. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT provided fire, rescue, medical, and emergency dispatching services to five chapters which include Ganado, Steamboat, Klagetoh, Kinlichee, Cornfields and the communities of Woodsprings, Cross Canyon, Beshbitoh, Wide Ruins, Greasewood, Nazlini, and Toyei; but not limited to the 1,000 square miles covered through Mutual Aid agreements and our firm mission to achieve life safety for all residence; and 3. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT provided emergency and essential response to the Navaio people, our customers and visiting guests since 198 2; and 4. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT is seeking assistance to provide hazard pay and purchasing six fire apparatus and four rescue/medical transport units [a.k.a. ambulance) ro combat the Pandemic C0VID-19 Coronavirus; and 5. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT is seeking the resolution of support from the Cornfields Chapter for the purpose of obtaining adequate and reliable apparatus, supporting Ganado Fire Distrjct essential emergency staffwith hazard pay and continuing to provide emergency services to the Navaio Nation citizens. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. The Cornfields Chapter hereby respectfully supporting and recommending the approval of $3,004,980.00 from the Navajo Nation CARE Act from the 24th Navaio Nation Council, the Navajo Nation 0ffice ofthe Speaker and Navajo Nation President and Vice President 0ffice to combat the Pandemic COVID-19 Coronavirus. 2. Cornfields Chapter further request that the 24th Navaio Nation Council, the Navajo Nation Office of the Speaker and the Navajo Nation President and Vice President Oflice for the purpose of obtaining adequate and reliable apparatus for the next twenty years, supporting Ganado Fire District essential staff with hazard pay, and continuing to provide adequate fire,
