NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

PURSUANT TO A.R.S. 38-431.02 NOTICE IS GIVEN TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE GANADO FIRE DISTRICT BOARD AND TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC THAT THE BOARD WILL HOLD A MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON SEPTEMBER 21, 2022 BEGINNING AT 6:00 P.M. MDT AT THE GANADO FIRE STATION, GANADO, ARIZONA . * THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MAY VOTE TO DISCUSS THIS MATTER IN EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO A.R.S. 38-431 03. THE NAME OF THE INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE FIRE CHIEF’S OFFICE.

Meeting Minutes

1. CALL TO ORDER at 6:19 PM MDT by Board Chairperson Steven Kee.

2. ROLL CALL Board Members Present: Althea James, LaVerne Joe, and Steven Kee.

3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE/MOMENT OF SILENCE Pledge of Allegiance lead by Fire Chief Dewayne Woodie. Moment of Silence called by Steven Kee for the Late Queen Elizbeth II and the people we loss.

4. CALL TO THE PUBLIC: Consideration of concerns and comments from the public. Those wishing to address the Board are required to fill out a Request to Address the Board Form and Sign the Attendance Sign-In Sheet. Members of the Board may not discuss items that are not on the agenda. Therefore, action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or to scheduling the matter for further consideration and decision later date. One request to address the board is submitted by Marcarlo Roanhorse: Mr. Marcarlo Roanhorse call upon the board to remind the board of their elected official responsibilities. Mr. Roanhorse read from the Arizona Fire District Association Fire District Handbook the duties of the Board Offices under Article IV – Officers of the Board. Mr. Roanhorse read from the Fire District Association Fire District Handbook “ The Perfect Fire Board District Board Member & The Ideal Fire Chief ” to ensure the fire board understood the fire district board and fire chief roles in operations of the fire district.
