Regular Fire Board Meeting - May 18, 2022

Meeting minutes, as read, and second by LaVerne Joe. Voice vote: 3-0-0. 6:44 PM Alfred John called in on teleconference and Althea James arrived in person.

b. Approval of Fire Chief Reports

i. February 2022 Fire Chief Report – Fire Chief Woodie Fire Chief Woodie present his written report and highlighted the Fire Chief report. Motion made to accept the Fire Chief report by Margaret Etcitty and second by Althea James. Voice vote: 4-0-0 i. February 2022 Financial and Budget Report – Administrative Assistant Mr. Roanhorse Administrative Assistant Marcarlo Roanhorse presented the February 2022 Financial and Budget report. Alfred John called in by teleconference at 6:56 PM. Motion to accept the February 2022 Financial and Budget report by LaVerne Joe and second by Margaret Etcitty. Voice Vote: 5-0-0. a. AFDA 2022 Winter Conference Board Report – Board Member LaVerne Joe Laverne Joe presented a written travel report. Motion made to accept LaVerne Joe ’ s written report by Margaret Etcitty and second by Althea James. No questions. Voice vote: 5-0-0 b. Fire Truck and Ambulance Purchase Update Report – Administrative Assistant Mr. Roanhorse Marcarlo Roanhorse provided a verbal update to the board on the status of the fire truck and ambulance purchase. Vehicles are in the process to being built and they will be ready for delivery by next year. Motion was made to accept Fire Truck and Ambulance Purchase Update Report by Alfred John and was second by Margaret Etcitty. Voice vote: 5-0-0 8. DATE AND TIME OF NEXT MEETING a. April 20, 2022, at Ganado Fire Station One and/or ZOOM at 6:00 PM MDT (Subject to Change) b. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS This provides an opportunity for the Board to direct staff to include items on future agendas for further consideration and decision later date or to further study a matter.
