Management’s Discussion and Analysis of Basic Financial Statements June 30, 2023
The following discussion and analysis of the Ganado Fire District (the district’s) financial performance presents management’s overview of the District’s financial activities for the year ended June 30, 2023. Please read it in conjunction with the District’s basic financial statements which begin immediately following this analysis. This annual financial report consists of two parts, Management’s Discussion and Analysis (this section) and the Basic Financial Statements. Nature of Operations The Ganado Fire District provides Fire, Emergency Medical, Public Education, and other public services to homes, property and persons residing within the District boundaries, as well as services to locations and persons outside the District thru mutual aid agreements and contracts.

2022-2023 District Accomplishments:
l July 2022 – All monthly scheduled training will be suspended until further notice due to COVID 19 Pandemic health crisis. l Hosted no community educational American Health & Safety Institute Basic First Aid/CPR and AED for Adult/Child/Infant training classes on the first Monday of each month at Ganado Fire Station 1. l Hosted no community educational American Health & Safety Institute Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider and Professional Rescuers training classes at Ganado Fire Station 1. l Hosted no community educational Fire Safety and Extinguisher training classes on the second Monday of each month at Ganado Fire Station 1. l July 8, 2022 – Fire Safety and Extinguisher Training for Nazlini Chapter House. Nine (9) Summer Youth Program students participated in a 3-hour training. l July 13-14, 2021 – Personnel attended the Arizona District Association Conference in Glendale, Arizona. o LaVerne Joe, Governing Board Member o Althea James, Governing Board Member l July 19, 2022 - Fire Safety and Extinguisher Training for twelve (12) Summer Youth Employees at Klagetoh Chapter House. l July 28, 2022 - Fire Safety and Extinguisher Training for Wide Ruins Community School employees. A total of 33 participants in the training. l July 30, 2022 - ASHI BLS Class for 15 students from Window Rock Unified School District o Marcarlo Roanhorse, Administrative Assistant o Steven Kee, Governing Board Chairperson
