l August 25, 2021 – Regular Fire Board Meeting canceled. l August 2021 - Ganado Fire District personnel distributed hand sanitizers to community members. l September 23, 2021 - Regular Fire Board meeting conducted hybrid. l October 19, 2021 – Administrative Assistant Marcarlo Roanhorse and Fire Chief Dewayne Woodie went to the Navajo Nation Council Chambers to present legislation # 0125-21. The vote on Legislation 0125-21 was 22 Yea, 0 Nay, 1 Abstaining. The legislation needs to pass with a 2/3 vote or 16 Council Delegates which passed. l October 20, 2021 – Two fire personnel presented fire safety and extinguisher usage for the Ganado USD transportation employees. l October 27, 2021 - Regular Fire Board meeting conducted hybrid. l December 15, 2021 - Regular Fire Board meeting conducted hybrid. l December 15, 2021 – Fire District Christmas Dinner. l January 12, 2022 - Regular Fire Board meeting conducted. l January 20-21, 2022 – 2020 AFDA Winter Conference in Tucson, AZ at the Casino Del Sol Resort. Board Member LaVerne Joe attended the winter conference. l February 15, 2022 - : The final process to purchase the Fire and EMS Apparatus through the Navajo Nation has been completed. The Apparatus will take approximately 3 to 20 months to complete. l February 23, 2022 - Regular Fire Board meeting conducted. l March 14, 2022 - Met with Navajo Nation Delegate Raymond Smith regarding the Fire District Operation, Boundaries, Mutual Aid Services, and how he can help the Fire District l March 23, 2022 - Regular Fire Board meeting conducted. l April 5, 2022 - Public Health Emergency Order No. 2022-004: Public Health Emergency Order Declaring “Yellow Status” for Businesses. l 2022 National Public Safety Telecommunication Week (NPST) from April 10-16, 2022. The Dispatch Department has a small luncheon to the staff members to celebrate NPST Week. l 2022 National EMS Week from May 15-21, 2022. All EMS Personnel were recognized for their contribution to the EMS Services. Luncheon was provided for all the personnel. l May 16, 2022 – Hired two full-time Firefighter II/EMT applicants. o Mimi Begay, Firefighter II/EMT o Latasha Lee, Firefighter II/EMT l June 6, 2022 - Four Summer Youth Workers were hired for 10 days from Ganado Chapter House and placed with Ganado Fire District – Station One for worksite placement. l June 8, 2022 - Meeting with Chris, NNEMS Director regarding temporary quarters for his staff and ambulance at the Ganado Fire Station. We are still working out the logistics. l June 15, 2022 - Regular Governing Board Meeting at Station One Training Room. l June 17, 2022 - The Summer Youths Workers completed their ten days employee. We had a little cookout for the workers. l June 20, 2022 - Provided EMS assistants for “Survivor’s Healing Walk Event.” Veterans walk for approximately 18 miles total from NR25 & NR251 Junction to NR25 & SR264 Junction
