GANADO FIRE DISTRICT PRESENTATION TO NAVAJO NATION COUNCIL BUDGET & FINANCIAL COMMITTEE LEGISLATION NO: 0023-21

The purpose of Ganado Fire District’s Request

 The purpose of this resolution is to approve $2,644,380.00 in Sihasin funding for the purchase of emergency vehicles for the Ganado Fire District (GFD).  In doing so, the fire district will have reliable emergency response apparatus to continue rendering emergency services to its customers and the Navajo people.  In doing so, the fire district will improve the response time and have emergency apparatus stationed and housed at each station, within the fire district.  Ganado Fire Station 1, Steamboat Fire Station 2, and Klagetoh Fire Station 3  In doing so, the fire district will continue to render needed fire suppression, emergency medical response, special rescue services, emergency dispatching and much more.
