BOARD RESOLUTION OF GANADO FIRE DISTRICT TO SUPPORT ARIZONA LEGISLATIVE SENATE BILL: S.B. 1603 APPROPRIATES $16,100,000 FROM THE STATE GENERAL FUNDS IN FY 2022 TO ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION TO DISBURSE TO ARIOZNA POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS

Respectfully Supporting Arizona Legislative Senate Bill: S.B. 1603 in its 2021 Regular Session that appropriates the sum of $16,100,000 from the state General fund (state GF) in FY 2022 to the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) to disburse to political subdivisions that paid property tax refunds ordered in the Transwestern Pipeline Co. v. Arizona Department of Revenues (ADOR) litigation.
WHEREAS,
1. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT highly recognizes the need to support appropriates $16,100,000 from the state GF in FY 2022 to ADOA to disburse to Arizona political subdivisions; AND 2. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT is one of sixteen Arizona political subdivisions, within Apache County, that has been negatively impacted by the Transwestern Pipeline Co. v. ADOR litigation; AND 3. GANADO FIRE DISTICT provides fire, rescue, medical, and emergency dispatching services, twenty-four (24) hours a day/ seven (7) days a week. The fire district encompasses 1,000 square miles of rural county but not limited through mutual aid agreements; rendering emergency and essential response to five (5) chapters, seven (7) communities, within Apache County and Navajo Nation; AND 4. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT manages three (3) fire stations serving a population of approximately 8,036 Arizonians. The fire district mission is to achieve life safety for all residence; AND
5. GANADO FIRE DISTRICT provides emergency and essential response to Arizonians, the Navajo people, our customers and visiting guest since 1982; AND
