PURSUANT TO A.R.S. 38-431.02 NOTICE IS GIVEN TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE GANADO FIRE DISTRICT BOARD AND TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC THAT THE BOARD WILL HOLD A MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON March 26, 2023 BEGINNING AT 6:00 P.M. MDT AT THE GANADO FIRE STATION, GANADO, ARIZONA . * THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MAY VOTE TO DISCUSS THIS MATTER IN EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO A.R.S. 38-431-03. THE NAME OF THE INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE FIRE CHIEF’S OFFICE.

BOARD MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DISTRICT MAY ATTEND EITHER IN PERSON OR, WHEN NECESSARY, BY TELEPHONE, VIDEO CONFERENCEING.

Meeting Minutes

1. CALL TO ORDER at 3:26 PM by Althea James.

2. ROLL CALL Board Members Present: Althea James, LaVerne Joe, and Esther Kirk. Marcarlo Roanhorse confirmed a quorum was present.

3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE/MOMENT OF SILENCE Dewayne Woodie Lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Althea James called for a moment of silence for the Late Navajo Nation Chairman Peterson Zah, the late Navajo Nation President Ben Shelly, Navajo Nation Chinle District Dispatcher Celia Yazzie & their families. 4. CALL TO THE PUBLIC: Consideration of concerns and comments from the public. Those wishing to address the Board are required to fill out a Request to Address the Board Form and Sign the Attendance Sign-In Sheet. Members of the Board may not discuss items that are not on the agenda. Therefore, action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or to scheduling the matter for further consideration and decision later date. None

5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA LaVerne Joe read the agenda into record. LaVerne Joe motioned to approve the agenda, as presented, and seconded by Esther Kirk. Voice Vote: 3-0-0.
