Evander Leonard attended the BIA Fire Management meeting in Ft. Defiance, AZ l March 13, 2020 – Navajo Nation declared a state of emergency due to the confirmation of the COVID-19 virus in regional areas surrounding the Navajo Nation, closing the Navajo Nation government offices, and supporting the closure of all schools and educational facilities on the Navajo Nation. l March 19, 2020 – Regular Board Meeting canceled due to COVID-19 Pandemic Health crisis. l March 20, 2020 – Navajo Nation Public Health Order #2020-003: Public Health Emergency Stay at Home (Shelter in Place) Order for all residents of the Navajo Nation for quarantine and isolation purpose to limit the spread of COVID-19. l April 2020 – Regular Fire Board Meetings canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic health crisis. All future board meetings are canceled until further notice due to COVID-19 pandemic health crisis. l April 2020 – All monthly scheduled training will be suspended until further notice due to COVID 19 Pandemic health crisis. l May 12, 2020 – Executive Order # 004-20: Extending the Declaration of emergency due to the confirmation of the COVID-19 virus in regional areas surrounding the Navajo Nation, closing the Navajo Nation government offices and related entities. l June 3, 2020 - Executive Order # 005-20: Extending the Declaration of emergency due to the confirmation of the COVID-19 virus in regional areas surrounding the Navajo Nation, closing the Navajo Nation government offices and related entities. l June 24, 2020 – Regular Board Meeting was conducted with all COVID-19 Pandemic precautions. l June 5, 2020 – Navajo Nation Public Health Emergency Order 2020-013: Public Health Emergency Order Regarding Daily Curfew. Public Health Emergency Order 2020-014: “Safer at Home” Public Health Emergency Order and requirements for “Drive-in Gatherings”. l June 16, 2020 – Navajo Nation Public Health Order 2020-15: Public Health Emergency Order locking down the Navajo Nation for 57-Hours and travel advisory outside of the Navajo Nation due to the increased in positive cases in areas surrounding the Navajo Nation. l June 30, 2020 - Executive Order # 006-20: Extending the Declaration of emergency due to the confirmation of the COVID-19 virus in regional areas surrounding the Navajo Nation, closing the Navajo Nation government offices and related entities.

Financial Highlights

l District investment in capital assets decreased by $48,376 or 7.81% . l The District’s net position increased by $30,356 or 8.15% from the previous fiscal year . l Total revenues increased $76,332 or 9.50% over the previous fiscal year. l At the end of the current fiscal year, unrestricted net position for the Governmental Activities was ($ 168,268).
