Management’s Discussion and Analysis of Basic Financial Statements June 30, 2020

The following discussion and analysis of the Ganado Fire District (the district’s) financial performance presents management’s overview of the District’s financial activities for the year ended June 30, 2020. Please read it in conjunction with the District’s basic financial statements which begin immediately following this analysis. This annual financial report consists of two parts, Management’s Discussion and Analysis (this section) and the Basic Financial Statements.

Nature of Operations

The Ganado Fire District provides Fire, Emergency Medical, Public Education, and other public services to homes, property and persons residing within the District boundaries, as well as services to locations and persons outside the District thru mutual aid agreements and contracts.

2019-2020 District Accomplishments:

l Hosted nine community educational American Health & Safety Institute Basic First Aid/CPR and AED for Adult/Child/Infant training classes on the first Monday of each month at Ganado Fire Station 1. o Successfully Certified 288 people in American Health & Safety Institute Basic First Aid/CPR and AED for Adult/Child/Infant . l Hosted no community educational American Health & Safety Institute Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider and Professional Rescuers training classes at Ganado Fire Station 1. l Hosted nine community educational Fire Safety and Extinguisher training classes on the second Monday of each month at Ganado Fire Station 1. o Successfully certified 198 people in Fire Safety and Extinguisher usage. l July 4, 2019: “Fire Works Display” at Ralph Johnson Memorial Rodeo Arena for the community members. We received a lot of Positive comments from the community members. l July 9, 2019 - Hosted an educational American Health & Safety Institute Basic First Aid/CPR and AED for Adult/Child/Infant training classes for Navajo Department of Transportation employees at their facility in Tse Bonito, NM. l July 23, 2019 - Lieutenant Peshlakai, Lieutenant Leonard, and Firefighter Wagoner attended an annual training through Paradigm Liaison Service regarding the Natural Gas Pipeline in Taylor, AZ. l July 25, 2019 - Hosted an educational American Health & Safety Institute Basic First Aid/CPR and AED for Adult/Child/Infant training classes for Window Rock Unified School District employees. l August 1, 2019 - Hosted an educational American Health & Safety Institute Basic First Aid/CPR
