PUBLIC NOTICE OF VACANCY GANADO FIRE DISTRICT GOVERNING BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Ganado Fire District is seeking candidates for available position on its Board of Directors. Candidates must be a resident and registered voter of the District. Candidate will be appointed by the Board to serve until the next Apache County Election, at which time the appointee must stand for election if he or she wishes to serve on the Fire Board. The District Board consists of five Directors who are publicly elected and serve for four year terms. The Directors serve in the capacity of Chairperson, Clerk, and Members of the District. The current vacancy on the Board carries with it the position of Board Member. Directors may also represent the District at meetings of other public agencies. Candidates should be able to dedicate time to meetings as well as to the responsibilities as a Member. Knowledge of Open Meeting Law is desired but not mandatory. Board of Directors positions are non-compensated positions. The anticipated appointment date is on or about February 15, 2023. Please complete and submit a letter of interest & the following Application and Questionnaire to the District Fire Chief by February 10, 2023, no later than 5:00 PM MST.
